Due to a processing error with the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service on Feb. 26, 2025, federal tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service were mistakenly distributed to non-custodial parents who owe past-due child support, instead of being directed to Kansas IV-D Child Support Services.
